‘Your PM proudly admits training terrorists to fight in Kashmir’: India at UN
India launched a scathing attack at Pakistan at the 45th session of the United Nation’s Human Rights Council (HRC) referring to the neighbouring country an “epicentre of terrorism”.
Exercising the Right of Reply to the statements made by Pakistan during the session, the Indian representative said that Islamabad should not be giving an unsolicited lecture on human rights as the country itself has been persecuting ethnic and religious minorities, including Hindus, Sikhs and Christians.
India said it had become a habit for Pakistan to malign India’s image using false and fabricated narratives that serve nothing but its own malicious purposes.
“Neither India nor others deserve this unsolicited lecture on human rights from a country that has consistently persecuted its ethnic and religious minorities, is an epicentre of terrorism, has the distinction of providing pensions to individuals on UN Sanctions list and has a Prime Minister who proudly admits training tens of thousands of terrorists to fight in Jammu and Kashmir,” the Indian diplomat was quoted as saying.
