Taliban signs deal with Australian company, may legalize ‘cannabis processing’

The Taliban have signed a $ 450 million deal with Australian company Cpharm in the cannabis processing industry in Afghanistan that could lead to the legalization of the drug trade by the Islamic Emirate.

The company will use processed cannabis for medical purposes and have thousands of acres of cultivable cannabis land, Khosty said.

The production and processing of cannabis will be legally contracted with Cpharm, he added.

” We were contacted today by many media around the world on this, “Cpharma said in a statement.

The company also added that it does not manufacture or supply anything, Khaama Press reported.
