Soni Razdan on Covid-19 vaccination drive says children from the age of 16-40 should be given vaccination first
Some actors and actresses in Bollywood have been quite vocal about their thoughts on the ongoing situation in the country.
Recently, actor Soni Razdan has shared her view on the ongoing Covid-19 vaccination drive.
She said that people from the age group 16-40 should get vaccination first as they are the ones who go out for work and other purposes.
She took to Twitter and tagged Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and tweeted, “When it’s really the 16 to 40 age group that’s ‘socialising’ going out to work, bars, nightclubs etc. (the last 2 without masks mostly) just can’t understand why they aren’t getting the vaccine first. @uddhavthackeray @AUThackeray.”
In India, senior citizens are given priority while giving vaccination.
Earlier this week, she tweeted that actors should be given vaccination as they go on sets and are more likely to catch the virus.
She said, “So many actors get COVID and are at huge risk when working. I mean, we actually can’t wear masks. But no one seems to think they need to be able to take the vaccine yet.”
She further added, “It’s a profession none the less. People need to work right. Others can do so wearing protection, but actors are the only people who cannot ! And so ..,” adding, “Oh and every actor isn’t a huge superstar .. so those who are whining on about that can keep shut. Stop watching content, na then. It is made with great risk to the concerned actor’s lives. Being at the top of one’s profession can’t be a disqualification for a vaccine. Jeez.”
Many Bollywood actors have received the coronavirus vaccine and recently Salman Khan took the Covid-19 vaccination shot.
Soni Razdan was last seen in ‘War’ that starred Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. She played the role of Tiger’s mother. She was also seen in the movie ‘Raazi’.
