Satyendra Jain, Delhi’s health minister, is in stable condition
Satyendar Jain, Delhi’s health minister, was admitted to LNJP hospital here on Monday, sources said.
Currently in judicial custody in connection with an alleged money laundering case, Jain was hospitalized after complaining that his oxygen level was low. He is in stable condition.
An earlier CBI special court dismissed the bail petition of Delhi Health Minister on Saturday, stating that the allegations were serious. Furthermore, the court ruled that, since the investigation is still ongoing, it cannot be ruled out that the accused may be able to influence the witnesses.
After being interrogated by the ED on May 13 of this year, Jain was sent to judicial custody. Attorneys for the defendant said they would apply for bail before the Delhi High Court.
According to Special CBI Judge Geetanjali Goel of Rouse Avenue Court, in dismissing the bail application, “Given the facts and circumstances of the case as well as the nature of the allegation against the accused, the application for bail does not meet the triple test for the grant of bail at this stage, therefore, it is dismissed without merit.”..”
