President of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro will be the chief guest at 71th Republic day
This year, President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro will be the chief guest of the country at the 71th Republic Day celebrations. Foreign guests are invited every year on 26 January, last year President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa was invited on this ocassion. The Brazilian President will be visiting India from 24 to 27 January. Apart from taking part in the Republic Day celebrations, Bolsonaro will take part in many events.
On 24 January, the Brazilian President will reach Delhi with his 7 cabinet ministers and dozens of officials. Earlier in 1996 and 2004, the President of Brazil took part in the Republic Day as the chief guest.The program will be organized in his honor by President Ram Nath Kovind on 25 January, after which he will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar. He will also address the India-Brazil Business Summit after Republic Day.
