OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro new Oxygen OS update released
OnePlus is readying the release of the next-generation flagship phones in two weeks and there are some big upgrades coming this time. That said, OnePlus takes care of its existing phones and it has carved a name for itself to offer software support on a particular device for up to three years.
Before the world gets busy with the OnePlus 8 series, OnePlus has quietly released another update for the OnePlus 7 series phones and there are some notable fixes as well as improvements to the software.
The OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro have started getting the latest Oxygen OS 10.3.2 in India. Similar to the previous releases, this is an OTA update and users will be notified of the update once it hits the handsets.
The most notable one is the March Security Patch for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro, which hits the devices as soon as April starts. Accompanying the patch are several bug fixes and improvements.
OnePlus mentions in the changelog that improvements have been made to system stability and the RAM management has also been optimised.
The update also brings improved stability while recording slow-motion videos on the phones. OnePlus has also fixed issues regarding random disappearing of screenshots in gallery and synced video playback speed with audio.
Additionally, OnePlus has also rolled out software updates for the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G and OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition and these also get the latest security patch along with a couple of bug fixes and software patches.
OnePlus no more sells the OnePlus 7 series phones in India and currently, the focus is on the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro. The most affordable OnePlus device you can have right now is the OnePlus 7T and it costs Rs 34,999.
The OnePlus 7T Pro starts at Rs 53,999 whereas the McLaren Edition starts at Rs 57,999. The OnePlus 7T series relies on the Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset and come with 90Hz high refresh rate AMOLED displays.
