Mumbai: Massive fire at 60-storey Avighna Park residential building in Parel, 1 dead

On Friday, a massive fire broke out on in a multi-storey building near the Lalbau area in South  Mumbai’s Parel district.

The firefighting teams of 12   are available there at the spot and trying to douse the blaze.

 

A 30-year-old man died in a fire that broke out on Friday in a multi-storey building in the Pearl district of Mumbai.

According to Mumbai Fire Brigade, the man jumped from the 19th floor of the building and died was identified as Arun Tiwari.

(BMC)Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, stated, several people are feared trapped in the 60-storey highrise.

The Traffic on Curry Road Bridge has also been stopped due to the fire. The police have barricaded the area.

Also Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar, has also arrived at the scene. However, the actual cause of the fire could not be immediately determined.
