Man From Mizoram, With World’s Largest Family, Dies At 76
Zeona Chana died today in Mizoram, believed to head the world’s largest family — with 38 wives, 89 children and 33 grandchildren.
Zoramthanga, Mizoram’s chief minister, confirmed Ziona Chana’s death on Twitter, saying “his family has gained international prominence through Baktawng Tlangnuam.”
Ziona (76), believed to head the world’s largest family, has left Mizoram and his village at Baktawng Tlangnuam, which has become a major tourist attraction for the state because of the family,” the chief minister said. Mr. Chief Minister ended his remarks by saying, “Rest in peace!”.
