Major shuffle of the top bureaucrats in the Government of India.
On Wednesday, 22 September 2021, Devendra Kumar Singh was appointed as the secretary of the newly made Ministry of Corporation. He served as an IAS officer in the Kerala cadre in 1989. Devendra Kumar Singh has previously worked for the micro, small and medium enterprises as the development commissioner as well as the secretary.
This new ministry of Corporation was created by the Union Government in July 2021, which aims at ‘Sahkar se Samriddhi’ which means prosperity through cooperation. The primary goal is to provide separate legal and administrative structures for the betterment of the cooperative movement in India.
Devendra Kumar Singh is one out of the thirteen IAS officers who were named in the major reshuffle to full post that became vacant by the retirement of the previous member.
Pradip Kumar Tripathi was transferred to the personnel and training department who previously worked in the ministry of steel as a secretary.
Rajiv Bansal replaced Pradeep Singh Kharola to take over the post of secretary of the Civil and Aviation ministry.
Govind Mohan has been transferred to the ministry of culture as a secretary and will be replacing Raghvendra Singh on his retirement.
Rajaraman has been transferred to the ministry of telecommunications as a secretary and will be replacing Anshu Prakash. Rajaraman previously served in the finance ministry.
Anurag Jain has been transferred to the department of industry and internal trade as a secretary who previously served as the vice-chairman of the Delhi Development Authority.
Rajesh Aggarwal has been transferred to the ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship as a secretary who previously worked as the financial adviser and secretary of the ministry of petroleum and natural gas.
Lok Ranjan has been appointed as the secretary of the ministry of the north-eastern region.
Sunil Barthwal has been appointed as the secretary of the ministry of labor and employment.
Sujata Chaturvedi has been transferred to the department of sports and ministry of sports and youth affairs who previously served in the department of personnel and training.
The government has additionally appointed secretaries in various departments which include S Kishore, Manoj Joshi, and Shri V Srinivas.
