LIVE:Supreme Court on Monday reserved its verdict on Shiv Sena – NCP – Congress combine’s plea against the Maharashtra governor’s decision to swear in Devendra Fadnavis as chief minister, till 10.30 am on Tuesday. The court will announce its order on Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari’s decision to give Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) time till 30 November to prove its majority on the floor of the state legislative assembly. The BJP, led by Chief Minister (CM) Devendra Fadnavis in the state, claims to have the support of 170 MLAs in the 288-member assembly.A bench comprising Justices N V Ramana, Ashok Bhushan and Sanjiv Khanna is likely to pass an order on holding of a floor test.

Nationalist Congress Party President Sharad Pawar on Monday admitted that differences over sharing the post of Chief Minister led to delays in the formation of the Maharashtra government by the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress alliance.

The month-long political impasse in Maharashtra took a dramatic turn on Saturday when Devendra Fadnavis returned as chief minister of Maharashtra for the second term and was administered oath of office in a hushed up ceremony early morning. The major twist was that of NCP leader Ajit Pawar taking oath as the deputy chief minister at the Raj Bhavan along with Fadnavis.
Ahead of Supreme Court verdict today, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut took to Twitter and wrote-
