Maharashtra Assembly Election update| CM Fadnavis has governed with peace: FM Nirmala Sitharaman

BJP-Shiv Sena alliance will return to power in Maharashtra with an “unprecedented” mandate, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on October 10 said his government worked for the weaker sections of the society and tried to transform their lives.

He also criticised the opposition Congress and NCP for “not doing anything” except giving “false and misleading” promises during the 15 years of their rule before the BJP-Sena government came to power in 2014.

The tale of NCP go-getter Ajit Pawar

The go-getter of NCP, Pawar has many controversies tagged with his name. From the insensitive comment where he said should he “urinate” to fill the dams if there was no water during the drought in Maharashtra, to the alleged threat to people to cut off the water supply to villages if they did not vote for his kin, Pawar has grabbed headlines several times for the wrong reasons.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Mumbai, addressed the media about the performance of the BJP-Shiv Sena state government.

“Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has governed the state with peace,” Sitharaman said.
