Kangana shares new stills from Dhaakad, says her role is depiction of the goddess of death
On Monday, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut shared new glimpses from her upcoming film ‘Dhaakad’. The action-thriller also features Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta. Dhaakad has been helmed by Razneesh Ghai and will hit cinemas on October 1.
Actress Kangana Ranaut has unveiled new fiery stills of her upcoming film ‘Dhaakad’. The actress wrote with the pictures, “They call her Agni… the brave one #Dhaakad I say she is my depiction of Bhairavi the goddess of death … #Dhaakad.”
In the new shots, the ‘Queen’ star can be seen in a in a ferocious avatar of her character of Agent Agni. With a backdrop of a burning vehicle, she is armed with a machine gun. It looks like the setup of an action sequence.
Although fans are loving Kangana’s new look, but some people are criticizing Kangana for bringing Goddess Bhairavi in this post.
In an interview, Kangana said that she’d be portraying the role of an officer in Dhaakad. The movie is based on the issues of child trafficking and crimes against women. It is directed by Razneesh Ghai and will be jointly produced by Sohel Maklai Productions and Asylum Films. It is co-produced by Qyuki Digital Media. Dhaakad is written by Chintan Gandhi and Rinish Ravindra.
Apart from Kangana, the looks of Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta were also revealed by the makers. Rampal plays the main antagonist ‘Rudraveer’, whereas Divya will be seen as the evil master ‘Rohini’.
A few weeks ago, Ranaut shared the poster of Dhaakad and flaunted her fierce look as the agent. She called the movie, “India’s first female-led action thriller”. The actress had also shared the traits of her character ‘Agent Agni’ in the film. She took to twitter and wrote, “She is fearless and Fiery! She is Agent Agni. India’s first female-led action thriller, #Dhaakad, releasing in theatres on 1st October 2021!”
According to the ‘Gangster’ star, Dhaakad will not only be a benchmark film for her career, but also be a turning point for Indian cinema as well.
The female-led action film is mounted on a large scale, and will hit the screens on Diwali 2020.
