Chehre Vs Big Bull: Clash of Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan in the second week of April

Bollywood will soon witness a clash of Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan’s upcoming projects. Both the actors are all set to release their movies in the second week of April.

Abhishek is all set to release his forthcoming crime drama ‘Big Bull’ on April 8 on Disney+ Hotstar. On the other hand Amitabh Bachchan’s mystery thriller ‘Chehre’ will hit the silver screen across the country a day later on April 9.

Though the platforms are different Abhishek Bachchan feels that the audience is basically the same. Abhishek underscored that both the films are completely different as they belong to two different genres. But at the end of the day the audience remains the same for the digital and theatre platforms.

Abhishek’s Big Bull is based on the life of stockbroker Harshad Mehta. Set in 1987 it will show the life of Mehta, who is infamous for his role in the 1992 Indian securities scam. The movie is being directed by Kookie Gulati. The film also stars Ileana D’Cruz as a journalist, and other actors  like Nikita Dutta, Sumit Vats, Ram Kapoor, Sohum Shah and Lekha Prajapati.

On the other hand, Amitabh’s ‘Chehre’ is one of the most awaited movies this year as it is Amitabh’s first release since Amazon Prime Video’s Gulabo Sitabo. The movie directed by Rumy Jafry will mark the first collaboration of Amitabh and Emraan Hashmi. Chehre also features Rhea Chakraborty, Siddhanth Kapoor, Drithiman Chakroborthy, Krystle D’souza, Raghubir Yadav with Annu Kapoor.

The producer of the Big Bull and Chehre, Anand Pandit says, “I am privileged and fortunate to have two releases in the same week featuring father and son Amitabh Bachchan Saab and Abhishek. I don’t think any other producer has had this opportunity. Which one would I watch first? I love both the films. One can’t choose between one’s children.”

The father and son duo of Amitabh and Abhishek have starred together in several films such as Bunty Aur Babli, Paa, Sarkar among others. This will be the first time that their projects will clash during the same week.

Fans are already excited to Bachchan binge in the second week of April.
