BSNL brings in Rs 693 and Rs 1212 prepaid plans with bulk data benefits
Government-owned telecom operator BSNL has rolled out two annual bulk data plans. The first plan comes at Rs 693. This plan provides 300GB data which can be used through the validity period. There is no limit to how much data can be used in a day.
The Rs 1212 plan offers 500GB data for a period of 365 days.
These plans are ideal for users who are keen on using the internet. These plans are available in Andhra and Telangana circles as of now.
Users must note that these are data-specific plans and BSNL has not brought in any SMS or calling benefits with these plans.
Prepaid Plan for Rs 198 for 54 days
As on April 3, BSNL offers 2GB data per day with unlimited 2G or 3G data. The prepaid plan comes at Rs 198 for a validity of 54 days.
The plan has a fair usage policy (FUP) limit and will be reduced to 40Kpbs after the limit. This plan is also region specific and will be available in Andhra and Telangana circles.
Nationwide offers by BSNL because of Coronavirus
BSNL recently increased account validity till April 20, 2020.
It has also credited its users’ talktime balance by Rs 10 at no additional cost. The move by the telco comes just a day after Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) asked all telcos to increase validity in prepaid numbers.
Users must note that the free talktime can only be availed by those subscribers whose balance has hit zero. If such is the case, only then the telco will grant its user a free talktime of Rs 10 with a validity that will go upto April 20, 2020.
This means, despite running out of currency, the user can benefit free talktime. Through this, the users can benefit incoming calls, which otherwise don’t work if a BSNL user runs out of balance.
In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, BSNL also changed its operator name to Stay at Home in order to encourage its customers to stay put to contain the pandemic.
