Bollywood Actor Sonu Sood to Set Up Platforms across India for Young Emerging Cricketers
Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has now decided to help small town, young and budding cricketers in India. The actor has come up with an initiative to set up a pan-India platform to promote young emerging cricketers.
Since last year, reel life villain and real life hero, Sonu Sood, has been in news not because of his movies but because of his social work. From arranging buses and flights for migrants to providing jobs for the needy, he did everything for people affected by Corona virus pandemic. Now he has announced that he will set up a pan India platform to promote young emerging cricketers.
The 47 year old actor has come up with an enterprise which will help in nurturing young cricketers in the country. Sonu Sood said that he always wanted to be a cricketer but did not get any opportunities. Like many other cricketers he also wanted to represent India in cricket. With this enterprise he wishes to reignite his passion for the game.
Sonu said, “I always dreamt of becoming a cricketer but I didn’t have a platform in our small town, but when I see all these young kids playing cricket it feels really good.” (IANS)
The much adored actor said that he had discussions with Cricfit founder Mikkail Vaswani on ‘creating a platform on a pan-India level where they (children) can explore their skills and enjoy the sports’.
Though the actor loves cricket but due to his busy schedule, he doesn’t get enough time to play. Still he feels that everyone should play some kind of sport to keep themselves fit. He said, “I like batting as well as bowling but I didn’t get much time to play the sport. I feel we all should take some out from our busy work schedules and reinvent our passion. Sometimes when you see these kids playing not just cricket but any kind of sports, you feel motivated to follow them.”
The ‘Dabang’ movie actor was born in Moga, Punjab and has gained a lot of love from the public due to his charitable work during the pandemic. He earned the nickname of ‘Messiah’ and became the face of help in India.
Apart from a couple of films in the south, the actor will soon be seen in ‘Prithviraj’ alongside Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, and Manushi Chhillar.
