
Arun Jaitley, former Union minister and BJP stalwart, passes away at 66
Former Finance Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party veteran Arun Jaitley died at around 12 noon on Saturday. Arun Jaitley was admitted to AIIMS Hospital in New Delhi for the past several days. He was on life support at AIIMS for several days. A few days ago, President Ramnath Kovind, PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, to know about the health of Arun Jaitley, reached AIIMS and knew about them. Significantly, Jaitley underwent a kidney transplant in the US in May 2018. After this, Jaitley had soft tissue cancer in his left leg, for which he also went to America for treatment. The reason behind his health was not to participate in the Lok Sabha elections and to leave the charge of the Ministry.
However, Arun Jaitley was very active on Twitter, even in the midst of health. Arun Jaitley himself wrote a letter on Twitter informing him not to join the cabinet. From time to time, he used to keep his talk on various issues and used to target the opposition.
