Ajay Devgan helps to install 20-bed for Covid ICU in Mahrashtra’s Shivaji Park

Amid the deadly second wave of coronavirus and it’s unfold wings throughout the nation, the metropolitan city Mumbai is now on peak and the number of Covid – 19 cases are steadily increasing. However, still about 4000 people tests positive for the deadly virus every day, resulting in a shortage of beds. Therefore, authorities and the Maharashtra government have done their best to increase the number of beds as much as possible. Bollywood officials have also helped them get their infrastructure up and running as quickly as possible.

Bollywood celebrity Ajay Devgan who is trying to help and amplify information made an important contribution in this regard. He, together with his co- workers from Bollywood, gave a sum of Rs. 1 crore to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to assist the setup of 20 Covid ICU bed. The make – shift hospital has been recreated at the Bharat Scouts and Guides Hall, positioned in Mumbai’s Shivaji Park space.

This Covid ICU is well equipped with para – monitors, ventilators, oxygen support and will be managed by the doctors of the P D Hiduja hospital, located at a second’s distance away from Shivaji Park. Joy Chakroborty, CEO of Hinduja Hospital, stated that it will be an extension of Hinduja and the food, linen, medicine, manpower, etc will be provided by their management.

Maharashtra on Tuesday reported 4,014 new coronavirus cases, taking its overall tally to 6,35,541, while more than twice as many patients recovered from the infection during the day. Also, 59 more patients succumbed to the infection.

Ajay Devgan who has delivered multiple blockbuster films is a part of several franchises and has carved out a niche for himself through his diverse projects.

He can undoubtedly be termed as one of the most influential actors of Bollywood and has appeared in over 100 Hindi films. In 2016, the actor was conferred with Padma Shri, the fourth – highest civilian award in India, for his contribution to the world of Hindi cinema.

Ajay’s upcoming line – up of films as an actor include “RRR”, “Bhuj: The Pride of India”, “Gangubai Kathiawadi”, “Maidaan” and “May Day”, which he has also directed.

Besides this, he is all ready to make his digital debut with the crime drama web series “Rudra: The End of Darkness”. The actor will be portraying a gritty cop role that reimagines the iconic British series “Luther” for Indian audience.
