Aamir Khan’s story will move forward with Ranbir Kapoor: Vidhu Vinod Chopra on sequel of PK

Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma’s 2014 superhit film PK is all set to have a sequel. Latest updates revealed that PK’s sequel will feature Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who was also seen in PK’s climax scene.

Aamir Khan’s PK, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, broke many box office records. The movie marked the second collaboration of Aamir and Rajkumar Hirani after their blockbuster film 3 idiots. PK took a satirical view of the society and its religious beliefs. It featured Aamir Khan as an alien who lands on Earth. It also starred Sanjay Dutt, Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput. In the end of the film, the audience saw a cameo of actor Ranbir Kapoor.

Since that cameo, fans have been eagerly waiting for the next instalment of the movie. According to the latest reports, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra has confirmed that they will make a sequel to the film.

Chopra said, “We will make the sequel. We had shown Ranbir towards the end of the film, so there is a story to tell. But Abhijat (Joshi) has not written it yet. The day he writes it, we will make it.”

The producer’s confirmation will definitely cheer up all ardent fans of Ranbir Kapoor.

He further added, “We are not in the business of making money, we are in the business of making cinema. If making money (was our goal), by now, we would have made six to seven (instalments of) Munna Bhai, and two to three (editions of) PK. We seek joy, happiness and peace over a few crores.”

PK was a trademark Hirani-Chopra production of all time. It was not only funny but also thought provoking. Hirani last worked with Ranbir Kapoor in Sanju which was a biopic of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt.

Currently, the Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is busy working for his upcoming movie, Brahmastra and Shamshera. Both are are large-scale, action, big-ticket movies.
